Welcome to 3fingersmusic
“Music is an illusion; people hear what
they see, and see what they hear…”
(a famous New Orleans Musician said
that). Truth.
…It’s a work in
progress... I update frequently. So far, baby step number 1 and a half is
done... this page is revision 5.0!!
Thanks
guys.
(Original Guitar based instrumental
music) For non instrumental, cover songs, there is a
great group of guys I have had the pleasure and honor to work with. Those are below under “Covers” and some
mastering work in collaboration with “Sgstd” aka, “Robbie.”
My life as a human
being.mp3 (Myself. Guitar
instrumental)
Solo over a backing.mp3 (This is the 77 Ibanez Artist).
Ode to Peter Quistgard.mp3 (77 Les
Paul played without a pick, Princeton Reverb amp and a Maestro Echoplex which were tuned and made to sound excellent by
Dave Foxx “The Doc” from N.C., USA).
Thanks Peter Q... J
Worthless Incantation.mp3 (60 seconds of layers
of guitar)
Unnamed Tune.mp3 (Roland
GR-300 and GK1 pickup)
Return_of_the_Princeton.mp3 (Myself on
guitar. Same amp “The Doc” worked
up. It’s an old Fender Princeton Reverb
made even sweeter by the magic Mojo Dave puts in the
work he does). Thanks again Doc. That amp is my go to recording amp. Perfect!!
Wonderbread.mp3 (just me)
Absinthe_House.mp3 (Something done on
my own)
Call of the
Red Sunflower.mp3 (Stiglar on clean Jazz parts,
myself on guitar with a Roland GR-300)
Jingo_Jelly.mp3 (myself with the
Roland GR300 with GK1 pickup)
Friday Night improv.mp3 (My own way of
killing time playing the guitar off the cuff and recording)
Condition Red.mp3 (are you tired of
me yet)?
The Kidney Stone on pain pills jam.mp3 (Myself and a stone)
Ricker Backing.mp3 (Myself)
Jazz Fusion tone
test.mp3 (myself on guitar playing to a backing
track)
Terrible Improv.mp3 Really? What was I thinking?
Blue
Jean Improv.mp3 This was an outtake. MIDI backing.
The Glass Eye Interlude.mp3
(myself)
Covers– Mostly collaborations
with others from the Internet:
Tiny Demons (A Todd Rundgren
tune from the album “Healing.” This is
an adlib version). Myself on guitar,
vocals, and bic lighter for a slide played in reverse
with panning.
Bloody Well Right.mp3 (KSDB “Joe” on Rick Bass and
guitar and the backing). It’s a
cover of a Supertramp tune. On this, I only tried the vocals.
Kashmir 3f.mp3 (guitar
and vocals myself). LZ tune from the classic era.
My own Reality.mp3 (Interpretation of a Francis
Dunnery tune).
Thanks to Lawrence, “Goport” from the UK who
programmed the drums from scratch for me.
I played guitar, bass, and did the vocals. The slide was a BIC lighter and the end was a
string winder on the low E string. This
is a good example of the Maestro Echoplex as I had it
maxed out on the slides.
Good Life.mp3 My interpretation of a song by Francis Dunnery. (Myself on
guitar and vocal)
Day Tripper.mp3 Jeff Lange on all guitar…myself trying
vocal…and artificial crowd noise into the mix as we tried to “rock up the version”
…it just sounds like a live hot mix.
Great going Jeff!!
B_Jovi_Dead_or_Alive.mp3
(Jeff once again on guitar and myself on vocals)
My Sweet Lord.mp3 Jeff Lange from Chicago on
acoustic 12. We had no idea how
to do the “slides” on the song, so we tried a Roland GR-300 guitar synth with the GK-1 pickup to create them. (Myself on vocals,
harmonies and guitar synth).
Little Dreamer.mp3 Jeff Lange again on smoking guitars!! I tried to be the DLR to this tune with the
vocals…LOL.
In The Long Run.mp3 (SGSTD yet again
with excellent guitars…all of the guitar harmonies and myself with vocals)
Moonage
Daydream.mp3 (“Bluesplayer”,
Arty from the UK on all guitars, myself on vocals).
I’m
Gonna Crawl.mp3 (Again Bluesplayer,
“Arty” on all guitars, created backing (nice JB Drums) and myself on
vocals).
Achilies
Last Stand.mp3 (Myself on vocals and Bluesplayer (Arty) from the UK on guitars and sonic
landscape)
Grand Illusion.mp3 (Robbie again on all guitars and created the
backing track; I only tried vocals on it.
A bit of a re-mastering done since the original track).
Space Oddity.mp3 (All me here. Acoustic, electric, vocals, and MIDI
conversion and mix). I just like the
original and was inspired.
La_Villa_Strangiato_pt1.mp3 (A Rush tune with a MIDI conversion backing)
This is the Dave Foxx tuned 74 Marshall, his tuned EP-3 Echoplex,
and 77 Les Paul with 4x12 cab mic’d with SM-57 off
axis of cone center about 45 degrees).
2112 excerpt.mp3 (Rush tune. Same setup as listed above).
Ziggy.mp3 (myself)
War Pigs.mp3 (Again my friend SC350
“Matt” and KSDB “Joe” on a classic Black Sabbath tune. Matt; guitars,
Joe, bass guitar-and drum backing; Myself at Ozzy
vocals).
When the Levee
Breaks.mp3 (Per Eiman, Sweden,
All harp, slide work and 2nd guitar track, and Robbie “Sgstd” on main guitar track. Myself on vocals. Shout to
whomever made the drum track….I think “Bluesplayer”
Arty had it sampled. Erie how this song
speaks to my hometown after Katrina….God bless you guys who helped during the
crisis…
All
along the watchtower.mp3 (Leon on
all guitars. I just sang on it). Leon Maclellan
total pro guitarist and super class guy can be found here: http://www.leonmaclellan.com/
Big_Shot.mp3

SC350. Splawn

cool! Got to try vocals to this
one. Matt at:

10 years gone.mp3 (Kelly Wade main
guitar.. lead and outro my
own. Vocals my own).
Not
my cross the bear.mp3 (Robbie, AKA SGTD from Las Vegas on all guitar and
myself on vocals for this interpretation of a classic Allman
Bros tune).
We can work it
out.mp3 (Yet again Jeff on all guitar and
myself on vocals)
When you say nothing at All.mp3
(Duet and collaboration with Tammy, and Ted on
guitar. Miss you guys).
AYBCS.mp3 (Lawrence “Goport”
(UK), Bass guitar, Robbie “Sgstd” guitars, myself
vocals)
Born Under a Bad
Sign.mp3 (Robbie on guitar “SGSTD” and myself
on vocals)

conversion).
Mississippi Queen.mp3 (Did I mention
SGSTD? This is him again on guitar any myself on vocals)

WahWah, Ericgtr and 3fingers - Boys Are Back In Town.mp3
White_Room.mp3 (SGSTD on guitars, myself on vocals)
Other
collaborations with Robbie “Sgstd” from Las
Vegas: One Pro cat all the way.
Additional thanks to “Goport” (Lawrence) from the UK who helped with bass lines
and vocal harmonies with the Beatles Medley.
Cheers!!
The
Thrill is Gone.mp3 (Robbie and I did
this one as one of the first ever colabs when the
internet was used via Morse Code...:P ) He did all the guitars, and let me solo out
till the end about 3 minutes in to it.
Got to try vocals too. Sounds
“sort of live” because it’s not. J It’s the magic of
mixing. Thanks Robbie!
All_the_young_girls_love_Alice.mp3
